The Glass Furnace

The Glass Furnace is a fully equipped glass teaching campus located in the Blacksea region of Istanbul, Turkey.

Facilities include three furnaces, three glory holes, an annealing lehr, 7 benches, a full coldwork shop, three different types of torches, and more than 15 kilns for annealing, fusing, casting and enameling. The Glass Furnace also boasts a 20 room dormitory that can accommodate 48 students.

Programs cover lampworking, glass blowing, kiln-glass, glass painting, hot-casting, neon and more. Most classes are two weeks long, are taught by internationally recognized glass artists and are taught in English.
