The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) has long had a highly regarded glass arts program. Alumni include Dale Chihuly, Howard Ben Tré, Dan Dailey, Toots Zynsky, and Judith Schaechter.
RISD's online gallery includes 80 works by alumni (including some of the above), faculty and students. As might be expected, the variety of work on display is very broad -- ranging from one of Zynsky's beautiful "thread" bowls to Stephanie Lempert unnamed work created from "glass, wood, human oils, [and] saliva" to Bohyun Yoon's "performance" glass art.
