Overshot Glass

Overshot glass is created when the glass blower takes the still hot glass object and rolls it in a tray of small, sharp frit. The blown object is then returned to the glory hole where the frit is lightly fire polished.

This technique, while attractive, was originally developed as a way to cover surface defects.
